We are headed to Gfinity European Open – And you should come too!

Gears of War is breaking into the eSports scene, and as more and more great events take place world wide, the more hype and the more interest gets generated for both the teams that play and the game that is being played.

As new players discover some amazing games and the professional players that play these games, something special occurs where we start to understand just what it takes to become great at something so different from the mainstream of sport on TV. Its a totally different world to traditional sport from both an entertainment perspective and a players perspective.

As eSports continues to evolve and become part of the fabric of the gaming industry we will be there to take the ride with you, whilst also aiming to bring you our personal views from Gears eSports with our small but dedicated team who are massive fans and participators in the game.

Twitch has always been the home of watching eSports and it goes without saying it has been huge in the development of eSports and entertainment from gaming, however how we watch games and how they are broadcasted could change in the future and we are even seeing organisations of eSports getting a TV station to really make what they do mainstream. At the rate of growth of gaming and demand for gaming tournaments we will likely see more and more investment and more prize money becoming available and even corporately sponsored teams. We have actually already seen a eSports player signed by West Ham United FC, the future for players, for teams and organisations is very bright indeed.

There is no denying, its an ever growing scene, and more and more games will come and go and we fully suspect that Gears of War 4 will be up there in the eSports scene, and that Gears of War gamers new and old will be tuning in and the Gears teams and players such as Denial eSports will become household names in the gaming world as their continued success keeps putting them in the spotlight.

So where are we going next?

Our coverage of the PAX event in Boston was unbelievable. Cory was able to attend and really put in a LOT of effort into a post giving his personal view point and showing player performance and predictions.

The whole atmosphere of the event is also perfectly captured, so please check out the post here to get a great flavour of the Gears eSports scene and experience what it is all about.

Next up then is GFINITY Gears eSports – European Open.

This event is held in Nottingham with the grand final being played in London.

We will be taking 4 of our guys to this event, Cory will be coming from the USA! So its a great time to meet him on his first ever visit to the UK!
Ben coming all the way from Leicester, and Jay coming to GFinity too, representing gowportal. So come say Hi and get together with us if you recognise us!

We will also be bringing a new guy to the scene, who will be writing a lot for us in the future as he is a passionate writer – Alex. Getting a taste for the Gears eSports scene and writing up about the atmosphere and the games impact on someone new to the fanbase of Gears of War.

We want you guys to come along too! And tickets are still available for this event!
