As you may have heard an early copy of Gears of war 3 has been leaked two months before official release date.

Microsoft stated that the leaked build is not the final version and does not completely represent what could be offered when the game launches September 20th.

Microsoft is working closely with it's security team and law enforcement to handle the situation.

This is not Epic's first security breach though. Several weeks ago Epic admitted that it's site had been hacked and user information had been stolen. As for Microsoft this isn't their first leak ever. Last year halo reach got leaked. Like Halo 2 did in 2004 or Halo ODST in 2007.

Do you guys think this is just a coincidence?

Developers are not happy either as you can imagine. Here is a quote from Cliffy B himself.

"Here. Please stop asking me about it. Upsetting enough to hear and making more news about it only draws attention. Sad."

It is still not known if this was a job from inside, but like Microsoft said they are working diligently to figure this whole thing out.
